The people beside you

Meet the team

Cultural knowledge, expedition experience and thoughtful facilitation - brought together through relationship.

01

Adventure curator and guide

Verity Leach

Verity is a writer, researcher and facilitator with more than twenty years of experience working across cultures, much of it alongside Aboriginal people and organisations across Australia.

Drawing on a background in social research, oral history, journalism, developmental coaching and group facilitation, she is interested in how culture, place and story shape the way we understand ourselves and one another.

Verity has lived and travelled widely and feels most alive in vast open landscapes.

02

Aboriginal cross-cultural development guide

Kim Bridge

Born in Halls Creek, Kim is Gija through his father’s family. His life and work have crossed Aboriginal social, economic and business development, community leadership and the complex space between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal worlds.

Kim brings warmth, humour and a gift for yarning. Around the fire or beside the river, he creates conversations that draw people closer to Country, culture and new ways of seeing.

03

Adventure guide

Terry Hewett

Terry has spent more than forty years leading people through some of Australia’s most remote and demanding landscapes.

Few people bring his depth of experience in remote area safety, survival and navigation - or his instinct for reading Country, conditions and people.

Capable and endlessly resourceful, Terry makes serious adventure feel possible. He is also a natural storyteller, with a rare ability to bring a group together and help people see the landscape - and themselves - differently.
