VERITY LEACH
Adventure curator & guide

Professionally: Over the last twenty years I have worked in complex cross cultural stakeholder engagement, much of that time has been in the Aboriginal space, in Western Australia. I am also an experienced integral practitioner and developmental coach.

 

Spiritually: Nature and the company of the elements in vast open spaces has been my go to from a very young age. There is a vitality I connect to in myself that I don't feel anywhere else. 

​

Culturally: Born in India, lived in Pakistan, completed school in Australia and traveled and lived around the world. I have English, Scottish and Kamileroi ancestry.

KATE TAYLOR
Yoga extraordinaire and embodiment guide

Kate Taylor has been practicing and teaching Yoga for over 25 years. She was the co founder and director of one of Perths most well known Yoga studios from 2014-20, and has developed and taught teacher training curriculums, training over 80 Yoga teachers.

 

Kate has also led many Yoga retreats both in Australia and internationally. Kate has an extensive background in Aboriginal health, engagement and transformative education in Western Australia over the last 15years.

 

She currently works leading initiatives in Indigenous organisational cultural maturity.

KIM BRIDGE
Aboriginal cross cultural development guide 
 

Kim Bridge  was born in Hall's Creek, Gija on his dad's side and white Australian on his mother's side. He has a lifetime of experience working in the Aboriginal space, specifically on economic , business and social development projects. He has also worked extensively at the cross section of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal  relations, across all sectors and industries.
 

One of Kim's strengths is in his understanding of the complexities of social and economic development in developing communities and facilitating a coordinated response to sustainable change.

 

Kim gets results and helps organisations, government agencies and private enterprise to understand and act on their visions and short and long term goals.

Nowadays, Kim spends a lot of time on country spinning yarns and sharing his knowledge. He brings together the energy of the group and the natural surrounds, to spark deep and insightful discussions around the campfire, and on the river banks.

TERRY HEWETT
Logistics, safety, and adventure guide 

Terry has been leading adventure experiences for more than 40 years. In the Australia Day Honour List of 2017 Terry was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for his service to adventure tourism, and through fundraising roles for charitable organisations.

 

In his 'spare time', Terry helps charities, and has in the past few years, helped to raise more than $11.5 million for charities across Australia.

​

Terry served in the Australian Special Air Service (SAS) for 12 years, and learned a lot about survival, navigation, and understanding how to read country. These skills and competency have served him and all his adventure participants well over the years. 

​

And to add to all this, Terry has a unique and inspiring gift of storytelling and facilitating new ways of seeing the world. 

MATT BLACK
Vegan Chef Extraordinaire

Matt Black is a seasoned, vegan chef who has prepared the most extraordinary meals, in the most extraordinary locations. 

​

Matt has worked around the country, in group activities and events. Beyond his culinary skills, Matt brings a fresh look at all things nutrition, and attempts to nourish participants in alignment with the environment and activities of the day. 

​

Making damper and fresh gluten free bread for breakfast is just one of the things you have to look forward to. Last trip, he made fresh san choy bow on the side of the river, in the middle of the hike!

​

Matt does not come on the Frontier Expedition. 

​
